The 1560 Geneva Bible Project

The 1560 Geneva Bible Project is a ministry of Reformation Quest Inc. dedicated to creating a modern English standard text from the 1560 Geneva Bible, known as The Geneva Standard Bible© (GSB). We provide ongoing training in Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin, focusing on translation techniques from an "Original Equivalence" perspective. Our initiative unites a team of skilled biblical linguists, practitioners, and scholars while forming a partnership with an established translation organization. We also secure funding and encourage public involvement as an 'Open Forum' project, inviting community participation in our updated translation, beginning with the Book of Romans. Our goal is to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance in today’s post-modern context by updating the 1560 Geneva Bible notes to counter Postmodernism. We continually seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit through prayer and strive to remain true to the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts, as well as the 1560 Geneva Bible and its notes. The making of the Geneva Standard Bible©

1st & 16th Century discernment responding to a Post-modern understanding

The 1560 Geneva Bible Project embodies the mission of Reformation Quest to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while engaging, educating, and equipping Reformational Leaders through biblical theology and translation. Our translation efforts aim to uncover the insights of our Reformation and Puritan ancestors as we strive to promote the Gospel of the Kingdom in today’s Post-modern society. Our mission extends beyond simply providing an updated edition of the 1560 Geneva Bible (Geneva Standard Bible©); it also refreshes the notes of this original study Bible. These notes will assist in translating the text and offer study aids to help Christians navigate Post-modern challenges (such as Wokeism and DEI). We aspire to continue the legacy of the 16th century Marian Exiles through this significant undertaking.
